  • Wills

A will is the legal document in which you set out who you want to get your possessions and property (your 'estate') when you die. Husband and wife generally to each other and then to your children. Without a will your assets may not be distributed to where you may wish them to go under an intestacy (no will) where for instance your wife may not inherit the full value of your home.

Superannuation assets are also treated differently and may not become part of your estate without special consideration.

  • Power of Attorney

Giving another person a 'power of attorney' means you give that person the power to act on your behalf (for example, to buy and sell things for you or operate your bank account). Giving a 'power of attorney' does not mean you lose control over your affairs and can’t revoke the Powers also Powers can be Enduring Powers to continue or commence when you lose your ability to fully cope and manage your own affairs. We also recommend that save for your husband or wife you should have 2 Attorneys appointed together.

  • Gift Advice

Leaving a gift in your Will whether large or small, is a profound way to make a positive difference far beyond your lifetime. If you are planning to leave gifts in your will to non family members or charities we can discuss and recommend how to ensure your wishes are carried out.

Saul Goodman

Business Owner

Exceptionally happy when I was assisted when I needed commercial and straight forward discussions about my assets and family affairs in the event of my early death.

Edward Baker

Retired

I had superannuation and my own assets and needed to know how they both work together. I was surprised to learn that my will did not deal with my old superannuation fund assets. Now I understand and have ensured all my assets are dealt with as I wish them to be on my death.

Matt Brandon

Tradie

I needed to plan my future as business grew and getting a will in place gave me the peace of mind to know I had my affairs in order and I could tick that box and get on with my work.

Pauline Thompson

Widow

When my husband died I was delighted with the help I received in checking my will and updating it to plan for my future estate wishes.
